CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) proudly announces Bonnie Caver’s election as Chair of the International Executive Board (the global board of directors). The IABC is the leading global association connecting communication professionals with the people and insights necessary to drive results. Caver begins her term as Chair after 12 years of increased responsibilities within IABC and is well-positioned to lead the organization. After initially serving as President of the Austin (Texas) IABC Chapter, Caver joined and later became Board Chair of the IABC Southern Region. Caver has held various positions on the IEB board, including vice chair and leader of the Council of Regions. Prior to that, she also served on international committees including the finance committee and brand task force.

The firm focuses on leading growth acceleration companies to create, accelerate, and protect their brands.
Caver is a globally recognized communications leader who has led teams in the corporate, academic and non-profit sector. Caver enjoys the role of mentor for young professionals and is a frequent speaker on branding, reputation, ethics, and thought leadership topics. She understands the value mentorship and IABC can have throughout a career as she first joined the organization as a student at the University of North Carolina.
During the last six months, under the leadership of IABC interim Executive Director Janet Rapp, the team implemented a comprehensive and smooth transition to its new Chicago headquarters. The new IABC Executive Director Julie Wichlin, the board, and the entire staff have pledged to provide high-quality services to members, exhibitors, sponsors, partners and other stakeholders. In her initial remarks to the organization’s members, Caver outlined her four priorities: Membership revitalization and value; Revenue sources; Advancing the profession; and an Improved experience for the more than 1000 IABC volunteers around the world.
